Photo Submission Terms

These terms apply when you submit a photo to Line Art by Charles LLC ("we," "us," "our") through our website. By checking the agreement box and submitting a photo, you agree to these terms.

1. License you grant us

You grant Line Art by Charles LLC a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive, fully transferable and sublicensable license to use, host, store, reproduce, modify, adapt, edit, crop, retouch, combine with other materials, publish, distribute, publicly display, and publicly perform the photo you submit (and any image, likeness, pet, artwork, or other content appearing in it), in whole or in part, in any media or format now known or later developed, for any purpose, including advertising, marketing, social media, our website, email, packaging, and other promotional or commercial materials, without any further notice to you, and without review, approval, attribution, or payment.

2. No obligation, no payment

We are not obligated to use, post, or display your photo, and we may stop using it at any time. You will not be paid or otherwise compensated for your photo or for any use we make of it.

3. Your promises

• You are at least 18 years old.
• You own the photo, or you otherwise have all rights necessary to grant the license in Section 1.
• You have obtained permission from every person who appears in the photo (and from a parent or legal guardian for anyone under 18) for the uses described here.
• The photo does not infringe or violate the rights of any third party, including copyright, trademark, privacy, or publicity rights, and is not unlawful, defamatory, or obscene.

4. Your name and location

You permit us to display your first name and/or city or region alongside the photo (for example, "River, MA"). We will not publish your email address or full contact information.

5. Release

To the fullest extent permitted by law, you release and hold harmless Line Art by Charles LLC, its owners, members, employees, and partners from any and all claims, demands, or liabilities arising out of or related to our use of the photo as described in these terms, including any claims based on rights of privacy or publicity, defamation, or copyright.

6. Email

Submitting a photo or signing up also adds your email to our occasional brand emails. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle your information.

7. Irrevocability

Because your photo may be incorporated into marketing, printed, or distributed materials, the license you grant is irrevocable, and materials already produced or published may continue to be used. If you would like us to stop new uses of your photo going forward, contact us at hello@lineartbycharles.com and we will make reasonable efforts to do so.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
